Immigrant

I am an immigrant
Like ancient nomad, a landless and identity less
No country, no citizenship and nowhere to go
Repulsed from my country of origin
'Love for freedom and democracy'
Was the biggest crime - I committed
Being a voice for voiceless
Saying 'menace to national security'

In fact I was a threat to dictatorial regime
The violators of human rights
And my adopted land accepted me with happiness
Being messiah of an innocent man
Saying in danger of “human rights”
Milked me, milked me and milked me
In the name of providing shelter

In the name of democracy and human rights
In my difficult days
In my young, creative and resourceful days
And now with new rule
I am driven out again
No home, no place, no friends and nowhere to go
In my old age
Oh UN!!! the messiah of world peace
Tell me, where is my country?
Where should I go? Where is my  human rights?
'To whom shall I tell my grief?'

The Hero, The Savior

A caged bird

fluttering for years and years

to fly and rescue hundreds and thousands

from the vicious miseries of suffering and pain

for freedom, liberty, conscience

flew out from the darkness

dispersing joys and happiness

to millions and billions

around the universe

with tears of jubilation.

"An inspiration for all of us"

the first reaction came from the West

in her release

from the clutches of the hated starred Generals

the wolves - the blood thirsty criminals

 enemies of all humanity

 of the civilised world.

You the plasma longing

self-declared hated starred gangs

the crushers of human rights

grinders of conscience

suppressers, shushing peoples’ voices

with weapon hatred hard waders

for decades.

Devastating peoples’ wishes- the liberty.

Ravaging freedom, democracy, human rights

will see how brave my hero is.

“People must work together,” said my hero

in bold, brave, and gallant voice

coming out of the captors’ cage

without the feeling of enmity

towards the peoples’ enemies- the captors

the blood eater modern men

in uniform.

The unflinchingly heroic statement

made all of us and you

feel proud.

As ‘democrats we all should work in unison’

against the tyranny of all-

Communism, extremism, militarism

Stalin, Osama, Hitler or Than Swe

Mao, Kim or Castro

are only the part of a coin

the policy, programme and plan

are the same:  crushing people’s rights

fervour in tears, sorrow and pain

of thousands of people.

But my hero is the saviour

guardian and leader

of millions and billions

desperate to see and hear

my hero, our hero and your hero

“She is a hero”

came the reaction from the most powerful man

in the modern day world.

Voice of conscience of my hero

is more powerful, mighty and weighty

than the treacherous, conspiratorial thunder

that power “comes from the barrel of guns”

scruples of our hero

will prevail and emerge victorious

as she is always the champion

for redemption

all over the world.

Adoration and admiration

from millions and billions

people of all castes and creeds

came instantly in her release.

The voice of our hero

the conscience of our hero

the determination of our hero

with purity in mind

working day and night

to change the rigidity

of the deserted minds

participants of  devil’s workshop

murmuring with barrel  of guns

for the  wasted values of the Stalinist days

the foxes, wolves and enemies of people

condemned

from all sides- in and out.

But our idol

is worshipped like God.

In the heart of people everywhere

our hero is and will be like:

Gandhi, Mandela, Martin Luther King

always immortal in the heart of people

“delighted”  “pleased,” “enthusiastic”

like the summer sun.

Smile in the faces of thousands and millions

remain forever

in her release.

The release be forever

to liberate the suffering and pain

my hero, our hero and your hero

remains with us.

“To work  together  ... to   achieve our goal.”
