I am an immigrant
Like ancient nomad, a landless and
identity less
No country, no citizenship and nowhere
to go
Repulsed from my country of origin
'Love for freedom and democracy'
Was the biggest crime - I committed
Being a voice for voiceless
Saying 'menace to national security'
In fact I was a threat to dictatorial
regime
The violators of human rights
And my adopted land accepted me with
happiness
Being messiah of an innocent man
Saying in danger of “human rights”
Milked me, milked me and milked me
In the name of providing shelter
In the name of democracy and human rights
In the name of democracy and human rights
In my difficult days
In my young, creative and resourceful
days
And now with new rule
I am driven out again
No home, no place, no friends and
nowhere to go
In my old age
Oh UN!!! the messiah of world peace
Tell me, where is my country?
Where should I go? Where is my human rights?
'To whom shall I tell my grief?'
