Trap in the mire
Hither and thither
Everywhere, wherever you go
You are drowned into the depth
Depth and depth
The everlasting trap.
The steps are sinking down
With each step taken
Like drowned into the muddy 'holes'
Or like in the deep ocean
Life is like quicksand
From birth to death
From happiness to sadness
Ups and downs
Slows and smooths.
The great wars
Either to give up
Or to continue
With loss of thousands of lives
Without any purpose
For broader mankind
Like sinking
Into the trap of quicksand.
War against terrorists
Fight against injustice
Demand for equality
Utopian society
All drowns
Into the mire
Sinking down while trying
To come out of the sand
Life is like this
From Cambodia to Rwanda
Vietnam to Iraq
Terrorism to extremism
We are being
Drowned and drowned
Into the quicksand.
