I walk along the red brick streets
Of the empire state of the ancient aeon
‘Financial capital’ of the new definition
The wonder of men and machines
Everywhere: higher and lower
Achievement and miracle of the universe
I wonder in the peoples’ profusion of possessions
Unmatched of all time: past, present and imminent
The dazzling crown of jewels.
My eyes fathom out the contrast
What we see, believe and realise
Each and every face I see in the crowd
In the fabulous Ferrari driven glittering streets
I only see anger, anxiety and distress
Fear and terror in every face
Child, adult, man and woman
Have tears and toils in every tales
The jewelled and glittered streets
But the crowds of human create unheard hearse
No touch, no feelings, and no heart
I only see inhuman robotic machines
Walking in the streets
Running in the streets.
