SEED OF FIRE

You sowed the seed of fire in the fertile soil
With the hope of good harvest
In the near future
The spark spread
Blazing leaves and crops
Houses and huts
Villages, towns and cities
The fire flapped like starred red flags
Like the twinkling stars
The flame flared the forest
Terrorizing insects and animals
Human and their masters
Red fire like the rising sun
Cultivated in every inch of the land
Blazing bamboos like bombs in the field and garden
With the command of the strong wind of south and west
The fire subjugated from west to east
From north to the south, and forest to fortified palace
The red fire, changed its colours
Fire did not remain mere fire
Clutched every religion and every caste and creed
Fuelling the feud of enmity
Blasting bomb, breaking the backbone of saints and innocents
Fire engulfed every temple, mosques, churches and palaces
Fire did not build hut for the homeless
Nor the fire woven the cotton for the vulnerability
The fire destroyed and broke each and every heart
Now every heart of human burnt in fire
Melting the snowy cold Himalaya as the Sahara desert.
